Language ArtsStudents should be reading at least 45 minutes each night to exercise stamina and endurance while reading longer passages.
Try to expose your child(ren) to different TYPES of text, such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, recipes, instruction manuals, articles, and short stories. Any time students eyes are to text, they are learning! |
Math/ScienceStudents should complete the assigned boxes in math and science each night. Each week's homework will be posted here in case students are absent or lose their copy.
Previously posted homework boxes can also be used for review as we are getting closer to the end of the year! |
Part of our goals as 5th grade teachers is to get your child(ren) ready for their transition to middle school. As the year goes on, we will be emphasizing responsibility and encouraging more accountability on the part of students to take ownership of their learning and education. This being said, students may come home with assignments that were not finished in class or that were due in class and not completed on time, and you may be contacted by a 5th grade teacher to encourage your child(ren) to finish assignments necessary for grades.
